Equipment and Cleaning Solutions
At GEM CLEAN our aim is to give our customers the best possible cleaning results, therefore we only use the best cleaning equipment and products available.
Extracta carpet and upholstery cleaning systems are recognised as the world's market leader. They have been producing hot water extraction equipment since 1985. Having powerful vacuum motors and adjustable water pump pressures, they are not only extremely durable, but very efficient. They recover 95% of the water used for cleaning, which in turn leaves carpets and upholsteries only damp to the touch, reducing drying times.
Our machines, where possible, are van operated to minimise inconvenience to our customers. For large areas such as Lounges and Dining Rooms, a weighted, powered scrubbing tool can be used. This power head has three advantages. Firstly, less water solution is used due to lower water pressure at the spray nozzles. Secondly, a much more efficient cleaning effect is achieved as the powered scrubbing brushes scrub the water solution with the carpet fibres (this also helps to restore flattened carpet pile), and lastly reduces cleaning times considerably.
GEM CLEAN's choice of cleaning solutions are also supplied by Extracta. The range is vast and choice is dependent on the condition of the carpet fibre or upholstery fabric. These cleaning solutions are very effective but also harmless to fibres and fabrics due to the near neutral ph they work at.
For heavily soiled areas, a general lift off solution is pre-sprayed, then scrubbed in before flushing out with hot water extraction.
We also offer a free deodoriser with our service, which eliminates unpleasant odours that can sometimes be produced during the cleaning process. This is rare and mainly occurs on natural fibres such as wool, but disperses once the carpet is dry, leaving your carpet clean and fresh.
